The Sailfish
The Sailfish belongs to the Istiophoridae family. The maximum size of the sailfish is 340 cm in total length and about 100 kg. The average life span of 4 years. It is not hard to catch and offer a little resistance. The Black bream has a high body and relatively compressed laterally, with symmetrically curved dorsal and ventral fins. The mouth is of moderate size compared to the body and has six incisors in the front of the lower and upper jaws. The body is covered with large scales that can be cycloid or slightly ctenoid. The head is essentially flake-free, except for the lids. A flake sheath covers the soft ray bases of the dorsal, anal and caudal fins. The Cobia fish belongs to the Rachycentridae family. it can be 1.8 m long and weigh 70 kg or more. it can live 12 years. The spawning period depends on the location. It can be fished all year round. The body is elongated and torpedo-shaped with a long flattened head. The eyes are small and the snout is wide. The lower jaw protrudes beyond the upper jaw. The skin is smooth with very small integrated scales. Easily distinguished by the first dorsal fin, composed of 7 to 9 strong and isolated spines, not connected by a membrane. The second dorsal fin is long with the front part elevated. The caudal fin is rounded to truncated in young fish and lunar in adults, with the upper lobe extending below the lower lobe. The origin of the anal fin is below the second dorsal vertex and the pectoral fin is pointed. Cobia doesn’t have an air bladder. The body is dark brown to silvery, paler on the sides and greyish white to silvery underneath, with two narrow dark bands extending from the snout to the base of the caudal fin. These dark bands are bordered at the top and bottom by lighter bands. Young cobia has dark side bands, which tend to become obscured in adult fish. Most fins are dark brown, with grey markings on the anal and pelvic fins.

The Silk Snapper belongs to the Lutjanidae family. It can reach a maximum of 83 cm in length and 8.3 kg in weight. They can live up to 30 years. The spawning season can last all year round. The fishing season for silk snapper is from late spring to summer. Silk snappers have an elongated compressed bodies. They are generally red to pinkish red and lighter on the belly. Some fish have thin undulating yellow lines on their sides. A key to identification is the iris of their eyes, which is bright yellow. Their fins are reddish, with yellow reflections on the anal and dorsal fins. Their caudal fin has a dark border and their pectoral fins reach the anus and are pale yellow. Their bodies are covered with rough scales and the rows of ladders on their backs are oblique above the lateral line.

The Dolphinfish belongs to the Coryphaenidae family. Its length can reach a maximum of 2 m, but the average length reaches 1 m. Its average weight is 14 kg but it can reach more than 30 kg. It has a maximum lifetime of 4 years. It can reproduce all year round. The best time to catch it is from April to June. There are two species of dolphins. It is easy to distinguish the two species. They both have the same elongated and spindle-shaped shape. The single dorsal fin extends over the entire length of the body. The anal fin begins approximately in the middle of the body and ends at the same point as the dorsal fin. Pelvic fins are located under the pectoral fins and can be compressed into a shallow groove in the body. The caudal fin is strongly forked. The head is dull and the mouth contains many small teeth, as well as a small oval dental patch on the tongue. Cycloid scales cover the body. Mature males exhibit dimorphic sexual growth and develop a prominent bone crest at the front of the head.
